Protect Your Smile With Expert Gum Care
Your gums keep your teeth strong and healthy. When gum disease goes untreated, you could lose teeth or develop other health problems throughout your body. At Progressive Periodontics & Implant Dentistry, we focus on keeping your gums healthy with gentle care that works. We know every person is unique, so we create a treatment plan that fits your specific needs.
Red, puffy, or bleeding gums often mean you have periodontal disease. The great news is that we can usually treat this problem without surgery using simple methods that work well.
We begin with a thorough deep cleaning called scaling and root planing. This process removes dangerous plaque and germs from above and below your gumline. We also make the roots of your teeth smooth and clean. This helps your gums attach properly to your teeth again and stops germs from building up in these spots.
Sometimes we use a special dental laser to gently remove infected gum tissue. This method feels better than old-fashioned tools and helps your gums heal quicker with less pain and swelling.
After we finish your first treatment, we help you maintain good oral health with regular visits and cleanings designed to prevent gum disease from coming back. Our team teaches you the best ways to take care of your gums at home. We show you proper brushing and flossing methods and answer all your questions. We support you through every step so you feel sure about your mouth's health.
We also offer other services that support your long-term wellness, including:
Regular gum checkups and cleaning appointments to watch your gum health and find problems early
Dental implants to replace missing teeth and bring back your ability to chew and smile naturally
Gum or bone grafts when you need extra support to save your teeth or get ready for implants
With proper care, you can keep your natural teeth your whole life. Call us today at 925-966-1686 (San Ramon) or 209-231-2851 (Turlock) to set up your appointment. You can also request a visit online. We're here to help you smile with confidence.
